It’s been a trifecta of popular engagement holidays these last few months – Christmas, New Years, and now Valentine’s Day. According to the Huffington Post, in 2013 about 14 million engagements are planned or expected on February 14. That number is staggering, and if you think you may be a part of this statistic that means you better get the planning going soon! When getting started with your wedding arrangements, we love the idea of sending out a save the date so that your future guests can make sure that day stays open for them. This is especially important if you’re expecting a lot of out-of-towners at the event.
Typically save the dates are sent out 6-10 months before the big day, and are normally followed by a more formal wedding invitation. Save the dates can come in a variety of shapes and sizes — cards, magnets, bookmarks, keepsakes — we’ve even had people turn them into canvas prints in the past! They do tend to have one thing in common however, and that is photography. So we’ve gone on the hunt to locate some fun and creative photos, to stir up a bit of inspiration for your own send out. Check them out, and if you have any great ideas of your own, share with us in the comments!
