Exploded Flowers, Artfully Disassembled and Photographed by Fong Qi Wei

Exploded Flowers, Artfully Disassembled and Photographed by Fong Qi Wei

The perfect spring post, and our inspiration for the day — check out these remarkable portraits of exploded flowers. Flowers that have been artfully disassembled, carefully placed, and magnificently photographed by Singapore-based photographer Fong Qi Wei. Qi Wei began his photo series in 2011, creating 20 different photos before finishing his project at the end of 2012. When asked where he got his inspiration for his “exploded flowers”, he mentions it came in part from photographer Todd McLellan’s own disassembled objects series. We really admire Qi Wei’s creativity, and pure talent. His meticulously orchestrated photos are unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.
