Fisheye Pro App Review

Fisheye Pro App Review

Mobile Monday is a weekly CanvasPop blog series featuring reviews on some of the coolest mobile photography apps, or gear available. Check back on Mondays for a new review!

If you’re looking for a new iPhone photo app to have a bit of fun with, we may have found something just for you! We’ve been playing around with Fisheye Pro by Lotogram recently, and definitely think it’s worth checking out.

The app simulates an old school Lomo camera that allows you to capture fisheye shots with multiple types of film, lenses, and ringflashes. When you fire it up, the app acts just like a regular camera. You have a shutter option, multiple exposure mode, full screen shooting mode, viewfinder adjustments, and an option to switch to the front of the camera. You have the choice of snapping a new shot with the app, or importing an image from your camera roll to play around with.

Switching to the front of the camera allows you to choose your lens, film, and ringflash preferences. There are four lens options: Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm, Crystal Ball, LOMO Fisheye Lens 1, or LOMO Fisheye Lens 2. The app offers 10 old film options: Kodachrome, LOTO400, Sakura, Sepia 200, LOTOCOLOR 1920, X-pro 200, Kodak Tri-X 400, Red Scale, FUJICHROME Velvia, and FUJI T640 Pro. There are six Ringflash options: normal, color, red, yellow, blue, and green.

All of your final images will automatically be saved to the in app photo library. From here you can share your photo with friends and family via e-mail, Twitter, Flickr, or Facebook. You can purchase Fisheye Pro on iTunes here, for a charge of only $1.99. It’s compatible with your iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad with iOS 5.0 or later.
