The sky plays the role of a canvas in this inventive photo/illustration series by Thomas Lamadieu. Aptly titled Sky Art, Lamadieu snaps photos of buildings and cityscapes whenever he travels. His technique while shooting is to point his camera upwards. This often results in a unique space between the buildings, with the sky peeking through.
From there Lamadieu expertly, and creatively uses the sky in each of his photos as a blank canvas to work from. He fills in the spaces with quirky illustrations, using the sky’s natural colors in his work. It’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen before, and we dig it! What do you think of Lamadieu’s sky art?
The world can be your canvas too! Have some great shots of your own? Turn them into your very own photo to canvas prints.
