Now this is a photoshoot of colossal and extreme proportions. The coordination, timing, equipment, and skill it would have taken to complete this kind of series is mind-boggling. Not to mention overcoming rough weather conditions and the general unpredictability that comes with a mountain setting. Yet Swiss photographer, Robert Bösch, managed to nail each of these challenges and make his photos look effortless.
In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the first ascent of the Matterhorn ridge in the Alps, a Swiss mountaineering equipment company approached Bösch about taking a unique photo to mark the occasion. The company, Bösch, his team, and hundreds of mountaineers headed to the Hörnli ridge to get their shot. They brought along with them some bright red lights, as well as matching outfits and gear. These were the incredible results.
