We’ve seen these types of photo series tons of times with kids, but never before have we seen it done with a pet! Rufus is a goofy, 3-year-old, Pharaoh Hound who apparently sleeps like a rock. His owner — dog photographer, Sara Rehnmark — runs a popular website where she features a photo series of Rufus’ sleepy-time adventures. She stages photos of Rufus exploring, flying, sunbathing, and even cleaning.
Each image takes about 2 hours to set up and capture. Sara creates her scenes using household items, and her brilliant mind. When asked more about her process, she says: “I set up while he is sleeping and when he wakes up he usually looks at me and puts his head right back down,” says Rehnmark. “The other ones he doesn’t just play along, he comes over to the set up and lays down while I am trying to set up. He will let me mold him like putty if he knows a treat is in it for him!”
