Back in November, we had the honor of donating almost $3000 worth of framed prints to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago. When they reached out to us to sponsor their 6th Annual BIG Bash, we didn’t hesitate to get involved because of all the incredible work they’ve done for Chicago’s youth.
Who are the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago?
BBBSMC is an affiliate of the oldest, most respected mentoring organization in the US. They offer high-quality one-on-one mentoring services to 1,700 of Metro Chicago’s most at-risk children and their families across four counties: Cook, DuPage and Lake Counties in Illinois and Indiana. The organization works to make meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”) between the ages of 7 and 14.
Their mission? To provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
The 6th Annual BIG Bash
We were happy to hear that the event was a huge success. On Saturday, November 11, over 500 guests gathered at Venue One for the 6th Annual BIG Bash presented by Ulta Beauty. The evening was hosted by the organization’s Leadership Board and featured live entertainment from Chicago Catz, a premium open bar featuring Goose Island, Tito’s and Patron and a silent auction. Together, supporters of the event raised over $1,450,000 for BBBSMC!
