CanvasPop.com has officially arrived.  To celebrate the official launch we are offering our customers the option to have their custom canvas prints from CanvasPop displayed on the 7,400 square foot Reuters billboard in New York City’s Times Square for only $40.

Highres-Reuters Sign-LOW

This once-in-a lifetime opportunity is only available as an option to the first 100 CanvasPop customers. This November, don’t miss your chance to have your canvas displayed for 15 seconds on one of the biggest digital billboards in New York City’s Times Square  for more than 1.5 million people to see.

A time stamped photograph will be sent to each customer as a memento.

CanvasPop.com users can have any photo transformed into personalized artwork, regardless of the original resolution.  This means we can print the hundreds of low resolution images taken on mobile phones or photos you have stored on Facebook.

Make your own canvas prints from any image with CanvasPop.

The Splash Page. For now :-)

Welcome to our new blog for our soon to be launched start-up called “CanvasPop“. Fun name, fun idea, and big things on the horizon.  This new start-up will focus on turning your photos into beautiful custom canvas art.  We’re launching this because the marketplace needs is starving for some innovative, affordable and creative solutions that allow us to take all this “virtual” content and turn it into real tangible things we can share with our friends and family in the real world. We chose to focus on turning photos and digital images into canvas art. We will do one thing and strive to do it better than anyone else.

There are some really neat companies focusing on what I call the “digital to physical”  trend. As more and more things become virtual (our photos, our notes, e-mails, music) people are actually starting to crave physical things again! Books, real photo prints, and yes even art. Check out companies like our friends at Moo or Blurb. They take digital content and make it easy to turn them into physical goods (like kick ass business cards and books). There’s an interesting article here from Trendwatching.com about MIY Trend (Make it Yourself).

Now we  need your help! We want your feedback and ideas. Do you have any cool images on your computer (or even on your iPhone) you want turned into art? Let us know. We’d love to show you what we can do.  We’re offering special pre-launch pricing if you’re willing to give us a try. We promise we’ll make you smile. Just contact me directly.

In the meantime, please join us on Twitter @canvaspop or follow us on this blog. We’ll be posting regular updates on our progress.
