The Mobile Photo Awards brought their inaugural exhibit to two exceptional galleries in California in early April. CanvasPop proudly sponsored these shows, highlighting some amazing mobile photos on canvas!

The MPAs opened at San Francisco’s ArtHaus on April 5th with a 60 image exhibit which runs until June 30th. They also premiered at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art in Santa Ana on April 7th for a 3 week run through April 28th. Both openings were a smashing success – hundreds and hundreds of people constantly taken aback at the quality and depth of the work on display. With images ranging in size from 12×12″ to 18×24″ the work was presented to the public framed and enlarged the way photographs truly should be seen. Tactile, physical, big!
It was amazing to bring these award-winning photos out of the digital world and into a space where they could be admired. Congratulations to all the artists and MPA Founder, Dan Berman!
We travelled the world through your entries to our recent travel photography contest! You showed us gems from every single continent—amazing sunsets, remote villages, towering mountains, amazing cityscapes… the list goes on.

Artist Comment: ”This photo was taken at our cottage one early morning last November. The girls were staring into the water and I overheard my younger daughter consoling her big sister, saying: ‘You did the right thing by letting them go, Mika’. She was referring to the baby turtles she released in that spot the week before. My wife found the turtles digging through her garden and Mika had grown very attached to them and wanted to keep them. When I joined them, I saw a tear rolling down her cheek.”
